View Full Version : Cant get client to work please help. Want to play

I randomly had the urge to see if any Dodian servers still existed for nostalgias sake. Too my surprise i found one but when i download the game client it all downloads into text files and there is no client to click on or run.

Please help i would really like to play and have limited time.

It sounds like you tried to download the source code instead of the actual client here (https://dodian.net/downloads/)

Still doing the same thing. Not a single file in it i can run its all just text.

The Uberclient_iml comes up as an internet explorer file and i dont even use that im so confused :(

try deleting old java cache and getting the newest java. if that works load the client press 2 to delete cache, reopen and press 1 to run it.

Unsure what you are trying to download, but did you tried the link I posted? Because we do not have any file consist of "Uberclient_iml" in our download or cache.

The Uberclient_iml comes up as an internet explorer file and i dont even use that im so confused :(

You need to open the .jar file with Java. The iml file you're referring to is the project file used by the IDE.

Okay I got the client to open finally i had to update java and change the .JAR file association. But now it gets so close to fully loading and it gets stuck at "Unpacking Media" Any help with this last issue would be much appreciated. Im so close to playing!!

It worked finally. Thanks a lot. Finally i can play Dodian like back in the day

ive downloaded the dodian client from clicking play now and also the client provided in a link above. but it keeps trying to open it with internet explorer. i have tried to open with java but it doesn't show java in available programs to open the client with. what am i doing wrong would love to play this game again

Great! :) There is also a new thing in the works. I'm working tirelessly to get that going actually. Hopefully I can keep that work up.
